Our roofs are designed and calculated to withstand a snow load of up to 50kg/m2 which is the equivalent of around 3 feet of snow, far more snow than most roofs will ever experience. The roof can be one of several designs - for example, one option isa Pent design with a slight slope to channelwater to the rear of the building. The roof construction will be from 150mm SIPs, which provide a strong and well insulated roof but allow the structural supports to be hidden within the roof structure. This leaves a smooth and even ceiling surface, but provides sufficient strength to create large room spans.

Stand-alone rooms are used for many purposes, including for studios, workshops and home gyms. From simple, but robust, garages right through to luxury heated living rooms, all our buildings follow the same design principles, are long-lasting, functional and aesthetically pleasing. The walls will be constructed of a high tech sandwich construction which provides strength and stability as well as offering excellent thermal and sound insulation, and optimum moisture control. The core of the wall is made from 100mm British manufactured structural insulation panels (SIPs), this provides an incredibly strong frame to support the roof structure whilst preventing thermal bridging across the internal and external walls. All joints between the sips are sealed and taped to meet air tightness standards required by building regulations, and to provide a continuous vapour barrier.

Depending on the location and specifications, an example of how we construct the foundations is byusing our bespoke galvanised steel frame system. This system allows a strong, stable permanent foundation which is installed without the need for us to use heavy machinery, this minimises the damage to your garden. Our design team will calculate and design the system suitable for the loading of the building and the ground conditions. The frame legs are lowered in to bored ground holes, these are filled with a specific concrete mix to form support pillars.

We can construct any number of rooms to the exact specifications that are required, including installation of electrical points, water supply and drainage.
