Building Plans Ltd is a 40-year old family run Architectural Design practice with a passion for the architecture and construction of the past, present, and future. Our practice provides a range of services, including residential and commercial architectural design, planning applications, building regulations, and planning appeals, as well as drawings for work to listed and historic buildings. We specialise in designs that respond to the demands of modern living within historic or traditional environments - focusing on the individual needs of the client, creating bespoke spaces with a close attention to detail, build quality, and financial constraints.
As a long-established and highly experienced architectural practice, we offer the very best in residential and commercial architectural design for home extensions, barn conversions, and new builds, as well as renovations and loft conversions. A home extension can be the perfect solution for a growing family - allowing you to stay in the house and area you love, whilst saving you the cost of moving to a larger, more expensive property. Building regulations are an in-depth set of design and construction standards, applying to new-builds and alterations to existing buildings. Some things they take into account include workmanship standards, materials used, structural requirements, insulation, energy conservation, fire safety, building use and access. The drawings that were submitted for your planning approval are accurate, but basic. Once planning permission has been approved, you'll need another set of more detailed drawings for the purpose of gaining building regulation control approval.
