Established in 1982, Orbik began life supplying UK based original equipment manufacturers with control gear before quickly developing into a highly respected manufacturer of lighting and safety products, all made to the most exacting standards. In the following years Orbik expanded their customer base to the electrical wholesale market in the UK and to lighting companies across Europe and the Middle East, winning many prestigious projects along the way. Orbik's purpose-built four acre facility in Aldridge in the West Midlands features state-of-the-art in-house production, including precision metal engineering and powder coating facilities.

In 1982, ORBIK is established as a supplier of emergency lighting control gear to UK lighting companies. Situated in the West Midlands, we were able to set up good foundations for the years to come. After two years in business, our first accreditation from BSI comes through. The factory is accredited to BS5750, an early version of the ISO 9001:2015 quality system which we hold to this day. It isn't long before we start thinking about designing and manufacturing our own luminaires and in 1986, we do just that.
