We have worked on many projects where we've only been given a brief outline of the electrical installation required. Using this basic outline, we can carry out a comprehensive electrical design, calculating the distribution, cable, containment systems and lighting design. Thanks to a wealth of experience and knowledge gained through designing literally thousands of projects, we're able to scale our designs to deliver any size of project required by a client. Acting as either the principle or the sub-contractor, at Monard we have all the knowledge, experience and relationships needed to take on any concept put forward by a design team of architects and electrical consultants, and make it a reality.

Monard Electrical Contractors LLP was established in 1973. Forty Seven years' experience means we cater for every electrical need. During more than four decades in business we have formed excellent, long-established partnerships with our clients and, thanks to this, we have an extremely varied client base in and around Oxfordshire and the south west of England. Monard is well known for a long standing belief in exceptional service and an ability to deliver it. Lighting an historic building, a commercial office area, external carpark, garden, or domestic kitchen, whatever the setting we take great pride in designing and developing a practical, good-looking lighting solution that's compliant with the SLL code. We have worked with some fantastic, truly innovative manufacturers and their design teams, including brands like Zumtobel, Collingwood, iGuzzini, Osram and Casambi to name just a few. By collaborating closely with our suppliers and using the latest in Bluetooth, DALI and LED technology, we deliver truly exceptional energy-efficient lighting systems to every kind of environment and every type of client.

An effective maintenance programme is key to prolonging the life of any electrical installation. We have over 40 years of experience carrying out electrical maintenance for several colleges, Oxford University departments and national real estate companies. This work comprises electrical installation conditioning reports, emergency light testing and repairs, portable appliance testing and replacement of inefficient electrical heating. Plus any other repair or replacement works required. The relationships and trust we have built with our clients mean they can pick up the phone and call our office, and we will react immediately.

Monard are NICEIC approved contractors. As such we are inspected every year to ensure we meet the highest standards in the testing and inspection of electrical systems. All our engineers are highly experienced and have the knowledge needed to carry out installation and/or condition testing and inspection to the very latest wiring regulations (BS-7671). In fact our engineers can create these certificates on the spot via a tablet device, by logging into the NICEIC online portal. This means we provide our clients with essential certificates and Part P notification as quickly as possible.
