A. C. Roof Trusses Ltd specialise in the design, production and supply of structural timber components which include Timber Frame Structures, Trussed Rafters and the Posi Joist Roof and Floor System. We also supply a full range of associated metal fixings, laminated timber beams and roof stability bracing. To complement the design service, our package includes working drawings and design calculations to meet local authority requirements. Specialised erectors can also be arranged in conjunction with our design service to offer a complete 'supply and fix' service.

A privately owned family company, A. C. Roof Trusses Ltd has operated substantially in its present form for over 30 years. Originally manufacturing roof trusses the company rapidly expanded to be one of first manufacturers in the UK of the Posi-Strut metal web beam system in the early 1990s. Since then we have expanded further to produce timber frame kits to be able to offer the COMPLETE PACKAGE (Timber Frame, Posi-Joists and Roof Trusses) for your building construction. This includes all ancillary items such as fixings, Rooflights, Glulam Beams and Insulation.

A. C. Roof Trusses Ltd is experienced in the design and manufacture of complete Timber Frame kits. We pride ourselves on being able to offer not only a Timber Frame Kit but also supplying other associated items such as roof lights, Sonae Speedek and insulation for use in timber frame construction. All pre-fabricated panels are manufactured in a factory-controlled environment to ensure accurate construction. All timbers used are structural grade C16/C24 sourced from PEFC certified suppliers. Frame Studs are generally at 600 centres with an external layer of sheathing and breather paper fitted.

At A. C. Roof Trusses Ltd. we also have customers that have rather unusual requirements which we try and offer a solution to. Below are just some of the products we have been able to produce. We are able to photocopy large plan/ drawings of anything up to A0 size and sometimes bigger. Our customers include estates agents and build contractors as it is a cheap alternative to expensive architects' prices for drawings.

Here at A. C. Roof Trusses Ltd we are able to offer our client a complete package for there project making us your 'one stop' supplier for all your engineered timber products. Not only do we supply the complete timber frame package we can also supply roof trusses and posi-joists as stand alone products to builders using other, non timber frame methods of construction. Site surveys are available to aid clients in obtaining the ideal solution for their project. A 'supply and fix' service using experienced carpenters can also be provided if needed together with the supply of cranes and fall arrest equipment.

Here at A. C. Roof Trusses Ltd we are fully committed to becoming more environmentally friendly. All the timber we use comes from managed coniferous forests, mainly in Scandinavia, which is a sustainable resource with generally more trees planted than cut down each year. A. C. Roof Trusses Ltd, as well as all of our timber suppliers, are PEFC certified. Where possible all waste produced from our office and factories are locally recycled.

Trussed Rafters, or Roof Trusses, are individually designed components made from strength-graded timber and joined together with steel nail plate fasteners. They provide a structural framework to support the roof fabric, ceilings and/or floors and can be used in a wide range of building types including timber frame, masonry and steel frame. A.C.
