Surface Technology

Surface Technology was established in 1998 as a supplier of quality paints and surface coatings for the decorative, industrial and commercial transportation markets. Our contracting arm allows us to offer a complete supply and application service. As you can see from our Clients List, we have worked with and supplied many blue chip organisations including County Councils, Local Education Authorities (LEAs) and nationwide construction companies. We specialise in paint spraying, industrial and commercial painting, warehouse and factory maintenance, floor painting, health and safety line marking and associated preparations, such as steam and blast cleaning.

Whether it's preparation for a subsequent treatment, such as painting, or to smarten up tired and dirty brickwork, we have the expertise for the job. Blast cleaning is often used to remove paint, corrosion, oxidisation and graffiti. It is also a tried and tested method of creating a key to aid the adhesion of coatings. From large warehouse and factory floors to historic listed buildings, we have the capability to undertake a broad spectrum of projects.

We work with both conventional and airless spray systems undertaking a huge variety of different projects from one-offs to large production batch runs. Whether in our own preparation and spraying facilities, out on site, or supplying skilled labour in clients own premises, we are equally at home. We have experience in applying coatings to many different substrates including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, timber, MDF, masonry, blockwork, GRP and UPVC. Amongst the many coatings we can apply are acid- and pre-catalysed lacquers, acrylics, cellulose, epoxies, fire retardants, intumescents, polyurethanes, synthetics and many more specialist primers and finishes.

We undertake projects of all sizes, from domestic garages to large distribution warehouses. We maintain high standards throughout as illustrated by our customers in the extremely demanding aircraft and motorsport markets. We can install line marking, pedestrian walkways, zebra crossings, crosshatched areas, parking bays or any other markings you may require. It often makes practical sense to carry out other renovations at the same time. We can encompass additional works to areas such as structural steelwork, internal and external walls, and offices.
