We offer a comprehensive range of window blind products, the majority of which are manufactured in our factory in Eastbourne. Fabrics can be chosen from one of our many textile suppliers and our blinds are bespoke, made from quality components and finished to exacting standards. Manufactured from hardwood, MDF or composite, our range of shutters offer our customers a wide choice across products and budget. With over 25 years' experience involved in shutter manufacture and installation, it's the attention to detail which sets us apart in a crowded market.

Established in 1989 Blind Design is an independent local business dedicated to the manufacture, supply and installation of blinds, shutters and curtains. We have access to all major fabric and component suppliers and offer high quality products at competitive prices together with an expert and friendly service. Our factory produces the majority of our product range with most components and fabrics sourced from the UK. We also work closely with our supply partner companies to ensure we remain at the forefront of innovation and technology.

For many years Roller Blinds have been the go-to system when looking for a simple and effective window covering. Whether you are looking for shading, privacy or light block, our huge range of fabrics will offer you the perfect combination of design and individuality. We can tailor your blind to suit you - no matter which style your window may be. Roller Blinds can be manually operated with a choice of bespoke chain pulls or Motorised for ease of operation and can be fitted within a cassette headrail to conceal the roller and brackets as well as protecting the fabric.

The Perfect Fit system is a method of installing blinds without the need to drill into UPVC frames. Ideal for many situations including Conservatories, Patio and Bi-Fold doors as well as other windows within the home. This unique clip in system also makes the blinds easy to remove for window maintenance and cleaning. Available in Pleated fabrics, Roller blind fabrics, Day & Night Vision Fabrics and Aluminium Venetians with a wide choice of designs and colours to suit your individual design and requirements.

Panel Blinds are ideal for larger windows, patio doors and bi-fold doors and make innovative and versatile room dividers. The individual Panels sit neatly behind each other when not in use to allow maximum light into your home. When pulled across they cover the window to provide shade. Panels are available in various widths including 300mm, 450mm and 600mm. Motorising your blinds can give you many benefits. When motorised, your blinds are controlled smoothly and evenly every time, resulting in a longer life. You can open and close your blinds simply by pressing a switch on a remote-control unit or by using a wall switch. Most of our motorised systems can even be operated by an app on a smartphone, tablet or PC. This gives the user full control over their blinds or curtains, even allowing the creation of scenarios for automatic operation and the integration with other electronic controls.

Vertical blinds are an ideal shading and privacy solution, particularly for large window areas like bi-fold and patio doors. Whether you are looking for subtle shades or bold patterns our comprehensive range will provide you with plenty of choice. Available in 89mm and 127mm louvre widths and manufactured to an exacting standard which include powder coated aluminium headrails and glide runners for smooth and quiet operation. Available with Rod operation as standard but can be manufactured with cords or motorised (Tilt/Turn Only) if required.

Available in Perfect Fit or Classic Fit systems pleated fabrics come in a wide choice of solar reflective performance fabrics for both roof and windows.

Wood Venetians are a timeless classic and ideal if both shading and privacy are required. From dark wood through to pure white there are a wealth of colours to complement your dcor. They are also available as a Faux wood which is ideal in conditions where moisture can be a problem such as bathrooms and kitchens. Compliment your dcor from our range of painted or stained wood finishes or choose from our Faux wood collection of textured finishes. Wood/Faux venetians are available across three slat widths (25/35/50mm) and can be manufactured with cord or tape ladders.

Pleated Blinds offer an alternative to conventional blind systems and are the ideal solution for sunrooms and conservatories, patio and bi-fold doors as well as shaped and gable end windows. Pleated Blinds can be manufactured as a cord tension system, chain operated or motorised according to the window or door location. Ideal for fitting to Bi-Fold doors to give shade and privacy whilst keeping the architectural integrity of the area. An added benefit of this system is not compromising the Bi-Fold doors when folded back, as the blinds are attached to the doors.

Now you can have cooling breezes in your home or business whilst keeping flies, mosquitoes, wasps, bees and all other nasty bugs outside! Flyscreens are important in industry as hygiene regulations become more stringent and are ideal for areas that attract flying insects such as hotels and restaurants. Flyscreens are becoming more popular in the home, especially in the summer allowing you to keep your home cool and ventilated while keeping the flies out. Our screens can be made to fit virtually any door or window application, the fly screens can be left in situ all year round as there is no need to remove them.

Curtains add a richness and warmth to any room and we carry a huge range of fabrics including Villa Nova, Porter & Stone, Blendworth, iLIV and Style Library amongst others. All our curtains are bespoke to your individual requirements with a variety of heading finishes to suit. We also offer a large range and style of Curtain Tracks and Poles, whether you are looking for the perfect match for your new Curtains or simply a High Quality replacement. We can supply and fit motorised curtain tracks. We have our own in-house curtain makers who are on hand to offer advice on all aspects of curtain design including swags, tails and pelmets.

Awnings are a welcome addition to any patio area, not only giving shading and protection during the day but providing warmth to extend your entertaining and enjoyment into the evening. Our awnings are manufactured in Germany by our trading partner, Lewens, to the highest standards and specifications, then installed by our expert fitting team. All our Awnings are fully cassetted to protect both the mechanism and the fabric cover from the elements. We have a wide range of models suited to various width and projection requirements.

Velux Windows are often installed in loft areas that have been converted into bedrooms or in apartments that have been built up into the roofline. Velux Blinds are specially made to fit precisely on the Velux window frame and are easy to operate. If you have very high roof windows that cannot be reached easily these blinds can be supplied with an electronically operated open/close system which is activated by either a switch or a hand held remote control. We supply the whole range of VELUX Blinds which includes Blackout, Roller, Flying Pleated and Venetian which have all been designed with supreme functionality in mind.

Roman Blinds bring warmth, sophistication and taste to any room. They offer an elegant and soft approach to window coverings, combining the stylish lines of curtains with the simplicity of blinds. Roman blinds can also be made from one of your own fabrics, if you prefer. All our Roman blinds use a Chrome child-safe sidewinder control system (no cords or cleats) which provides ease of operation as well as being strong and long lasting. Roman blinds can also be motorised for even more convenience.
