Pfeiffer Design is an interior design business with a difference. We are passionate about generating ideas and solutions, helping our clients create interior spaces that meet their exact requirements. As a small close-knit team, we are able to manage your entire project from initial concept and architectural planning, through technical design and on-site project management to final installation and finishing. We've built our twenty year long reputation on reliability, transparency and a friendly, professional approach.

Soft furnishings are an essential part of any interior design, adding colour, texture, detail and comfort to the room. To give your project a truly individual look and feel, we can design and make your cushions, curtains, blinds and other soft furnishings entirely in-house. Our specialist soft furnishing designer Jenna and our highly skilled seamstress Henny will manage the whole process, from selecting appropriate fabrics right through to installation. Many clients come to us in search of the new, unusual, exotic and inspiring - or simply because they want the very best.

We make all our soft furnishings in our own workshop in Eastbourne, just down the road from our offices. The work itself we leave in the more-than-capable hands of our professional seamstress Henny, with manager Jenna taking care of the myriad administrative and practical details that go into creating and delivering truly bespoke, handcrafted products.

Over the years, we've developed a standard process we apply to every interior design project. We always follow the same steps, in the same order, but the time required for each will depend on your particular circumstances. We charge a fixed fee, but it's broken down over the various stages, helping you to manage your budget more easily; it also allows you to commission individual services on a standalone basis. This first stage is incredibly important in the direction - and budget - for the entire project, so we always recommend meeting in person if possible.

Through our custom cabinetmaking and joinery services, we can create almost anything in wood for your interior, to precisely the right dimensions and in exactly the style and finish you require. Working in new or reclaimed timber, we'll produce everything from kitchen and bathroom cabinets, wine racks, display cases and library shelving to a statement staircase, balustrade or gallery; we also offer a full shop-fitting service for retail premises.

Lighting is fundamental to your interior design, affecting the overall look, ambience, functionality, and even the perceived size of a room. As lighting design specialists, our lighting consultants and designers will create a layered design incorporating task, accent and ambient lighting that's flexible, energy-efficient and easy to live with, providing perfect illumination whatever the season and time of day. We'll also produce technical specifications and small-power layouts for sockets, switches and other electrical equipment.

When you're furnishing a truly bespoke interior, your scope can be constrained if you're working purely with standard shapes, sizes and designs. So at Pfeifer Design, we'll create and build custom furniture specifically to fit your space and concept, managing every stage from CAD drawings to the finished item entirely in-house. From dining chairs, sofas & armchairs, cushions and chaises to beds, headboards, ottomans and even upholstered walls; the only limit is your imagination. Bespoke furniture is an investment, and we'll build yours to last, and look good, for many years to come.

Have you ever dreamed of hiring an interior designer, but assumed your budget or project was just too small for someone to take on? At Pfeiffer Design, we offer a complete home furnishing service, alongside our full interior design and architecture packages. Known in the industry as FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), these smaller projects are often the most satisfying. Generally spanning a shorter timeframe (think 6-12 months instead of 1-2 years), an FF&E project covers the movable aspects of a home, and excludes any structural changes.

As interior designers with twenty years in the business, we understand our role is to take your vision, and make it possible through our design expertise, creativity and experience. Our principal expertise is in whole-home refurbishment, and new-build interior architecture, design projects, extensions & open plan kitchen design. But we're also happy to take on smaller projects, including individual rooms such as kitchens, bathroomsand bedrooms with a particularly challenging, intriguing or unusual dimensions.

How the space around your home looks, feels and connects with the space within is a crucial, but too often overlooked, element of your interior design. So at Pfeiffer Design, we always consider your outdoor surroundings as an integral part of your overall design concept. Depending on your needs and site, we can create a space in which to relax, entertain, play games, grow food and flowers, or add a separate studio or home office. Treating your outdoor spaces as rooms in their own right gives you licence to introduce a few indoor comforts, too.

The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) is the UK professional body for interior designers. BIID Registered Interior Designer is a symbol that an individual has met the highest standard of professional competence set by the government recognised institute for the interior design profession. Launched in 2016, BIID Registered Interior Designer is a protected professional title for interior designers. It provides a way for clients, designers and other built environment professionals to identify interior designers who have met the BIID's rigorous professional standards.
