Our story begins in 1970s London, when our founder John Crowell spent his teenage years among the traders at the Portobello Road Market. Relishing the buzz of the market and its Aladdin's cave atmosphere, it was here that he began buying, selling, and honing his passion for furniture restoration. John's first restored piece was an elegant rosewood Regency daybed, suffering from mildew and neglect. Under the watchful eye of a retired master upholsterer, he spent a fruitful summer stripping down and lovingly rebuilding it, restoring it to its former glory.
Roseberry House Restoration is run by Katie Keat. I have been repairing and restoring furniture for over 20 years and it is my passion. I believe that all pieces, regardless of monetary value, deserve the same attention to detail and work on both antique and modern classic furniture. I have carried out work for private members clubs, embassies and corporate clients as well as private individuals. I trained in Furniture Restoration and Conservation at the London College of Furniture and am fully accredited by The British Antique Furniture Restorers Association (BAFRA).

Hello there, my name is Brett King and I have recently moved to Holmsure Farm, Keston, Kent. The Oakhill workshop is a furniture restoration business and covers a variety of services including, but not exhaustive, gilding, carving, French polishing, chandelier repairs, cabinet making, design, marquetry, inlay, restoration work small and large and anything else that came along. My interest in furniture restoring came from my father Ramsay.
