All of our handmade furniture is carefully designed to provide maximum comfort and style, and each design can be altered and adapted to suit your needs. This includes the height and depth of the overall piece, the size, shape and colour of legs and arms, and the upholstery design and filling - right down to decorative elements such as skirts, nailing and piping. All of our handmade sofas can be made in one of our standard sizes, or in any bespoke size, altering the height or depth to fit your comfort requirements.

Our story begins in 1970s London, when our founder John Crowell spent his teenage years among the traders at the Portobello Road Market. Relishing the buzz of the market and its Aladdin's cave atmosphere, it was here that he began buying, selling, and honing his passion for furniture restoration. John's first restored piece was an elegant rosewood Regency daybed, suffering from mildew and neglect. Under the watchful eye of a retired master upholsterer, he spent a fruitful summer stripping down and lovingly rebuilding it, restoring it to its former glory.
