To ensure your new metal gates are in good condition for the years to come they will need maintaining by yourselves once fitted. It is advisable to wipe them clean with warm soapy water every few months. If you notice any areas of the gates that have the paint chipped or scratched then you must treat this area with a anti rust paint (this can happen through delivery or when fitting). Depending on the standard finish you select which result in different levels of maintenance required (Powder coats finish or long life system).Typical areas which may show some signs of rust would be around the weld points (this is because the welds have small air pockets in which when exposed to the elements can rust and you may see rusty water marks).
Wood is a natural, breathable product that will go through certain changes throughout its lifetime as a gate, no matter how well you treat it, depending on many factors including different seasons, being near to tree's, close to the sea etc. It is important to understand this when buying your gates and know the best way of keeping your gate looking great and lasting for many years. The gates should always be stained or painted prior to installation and have a minimum of two coats applied (or to the manufacturers specifications).

Very good quality hardwood doors and made to order in a choice of sizes - definitely worth it vs the usual treated softwood rubbish. The price difference will pay for itself in the lower level of maintenance required

I purchased custom driveway gates online and received excellent communication including delivery times which were faster than provisional date. They look exactly as ordered in the picture. I then had an install issue as the existing posts not good enough so purchased posts, spoke to customer services and they helped me order the correct posts. All supplied with proper invoices. The gate looks beautiful! We haven't fitted it yet as we are currently painting the gateposts, but the wood is stunning and I'm sure will look great and and function well when hung. We chose an unfinished gate - but having said that, the finish was excellent, needing only a few coats of Danish oil to weatherproof it. I received emails when the order was received, when the gate went into production, and when they you expected to deliver. Good service!

We ordered our made to measure gates in January and they came within the original stated timeframe! Gates are of excellent quality, we get so many compliments on them. During the process you are updated at each stage but if you would like an update you can email the team who are really helpful. Highly recommend, friendly helpful team & amazing quality gates!

Experiences clearly differ, but I'm another with only praise. Yes, it did take about 3 weeks longer to finish my gate than first anticipated, but I was updated about that several times. And when I wanted to discuss delivery dates by email, I was promptly engaged with in a thoughtful way by a real person.
It's just a side gate, so there ought to be no issues -- and there aren't. It's precisely to size, stained as requested and good quality, Price was very competitive and five stars are warranted.

A properly made gate built to last.
The whole experience was excellent, I was helped measuring the opening, discussing the options and finally choosing the right gate. I was kept informed during the UK manufacturing process, order was shipped as arranged, all well packaged. Hanging the gate (on my own) was possible, the instructions could be a little clearer but help is at hand via telephone. After sale service is also first rate. Overall - Very impressed 5 *****

I received regular updates on progress hence able to plan fitting easily (gate is for busy hotel) The gate was well packaged, everything was present and correct. Build was very good, it's a decent weight and I think it'll prove solid enough to cope with the use it'll get for many years.
Visually it's excellent and has already drawn several admiring comments.
