All toilets, sinks, baths and showers in your home or business, empty into the same drain, where it then flows into local water authorities sewer system before going on to a treatment plant for treating. Once there, the water is treated, cleaned and returned to a local river or stream. Once waste water becomes blocked, it can start to back up and could lead to flooding from the lowest exit point of your system. Generally this is external manholes or gully but occasionally it could be an internal point.
