We make and install a whole range of beautiful European Oak external joinery, from enormous screens to small windows, and French doors through to front doors. Suitable for both new build and restoration projects, all our Oak joinery is bespoke, made to measure, and manufactured to the highest specification. We can manufacture to a variety of styles to suit almost any project, whether it's; a very modern screen with large glazed areas, traditional joinery sat in an Oak frame, or, windows for an historic or period property.
Engineered wood floors provide all the same benefits and stunning looks of a solid wood floor with the added advantage of much greater stability and lower movement values, which is why they are eminently suited for use in conjunction with underfloor heating systems. The greater stability of the board also means you can have a wider plank floor than you could achieve in a solid plank without fear of the board cupping or moving. Engineered wood flooring can either be fully glued down, secret nailed or floated.
All of our timber windows combine the warmth of a solid timber frame with the most up-to-date glazing technologies to give a very thermally efficient window, with u-values of the double glazing from as low as 0.7W/m2K and in the hardwood range we can supply a triple glazed passive window solution with u-values of the window from 0.8W/m2K. Our timber window range is available in a wide range of RAL colours, factory pre-finished with a base coat and two surface coats of Sikkens water based paint. We offer a variety of ironmongery options in both chrome and brass finishes and all our windows are supplied with easy clean friction or egress hinges and centrally operated multipoint locking systems.
We are an accredited partner of the UK's leading window manufacturer and can supply and install a wide range of uPVC windows in a variety of RAL colours to suit any self build project, including future proof passive windows with u-values from as low as 0.65w/m2k and centre pane u-values as low as 0.5w/m2k. We also supply a wide range of single doors, French doors, bi-fold doors and sliding doors to complement your window choice, and a variety of ironmongery alternatives in an assortment of styles and finishes.
We can supply a wide range of classically elegant, traditional European Oak and American White Oak staircases, all of which are hand made to your design requirements so they perfectly complement your project. We mill all the sections specially and can accommodate a range of traditional styles, from the very fashionable but simple, with square balusters and newels, to the grand turnings of a 16th or 17th century staircase. We can produce beautiful solid timber staircases, with Oak treads and risers, or incorporate MDF treads and risers if the staircase is to be carpeted to keep costs to a minimum; this design works really well with an Oak bullnose bottom step.
Our aluminium clad window, EcoClad, is a timber window with aluminium cladding outside, giving the sleek durability, low maintenance and structural strength of aluminium on the exterior and the warm natural feel of timber on the interior. You can choose from a wide range of RAL colour and ironmongery options. We offer a range of glazing options in both double and triple glazing and dual seal the opening casements for excellent airtightness ratings. We also have a passive window solution in our EcoClad+ which has been certified as an advanced Passive House suitable component by the Passive House Institute in Darnstadt in Germany.
At Brill Sawmills we can produce a vast variety of solid European Oak doors through our bespoke joinery service. All of our made to measure solid Oak doors are individual and we are happy to work with you in either designing your own door or replicating an existing door or style. You can even look through some of the designs we have produced for previous clients. We are very proud of our solid oak doors; they are visually stunning and can be produced in traditional or very contemporary styles, to suit any opening, whether it's a standard size or an oversized aperture for that very special look.
