Whilst a gas safety check assesses the basic safety of a gas appliance, our full service will consist of a full check of the boiler and we will take it apart to inspect it. Consider a gas safety check being like an MOT for your car and a full boiler service being like a car service. Servicing your gas appliances regularly will make sure they are safe to use. It will also maintain your appliances efficiency and performance. Manufacturers recommend servicing once a year. Try to Arrange your Boiler Service in the Summer Months, when you don't need the heating on and before the busy Autumn season.

A gas safety check will make sure gas fittings and appliances are safe to use. When a Gas Safe registered engineer does a gas safety check in your home, using a form they will write down details of the checks that they carried out. This form is a gas safety record. It will list each of the appliances and other gas fittings they checked. Your landlord must give you a record of the annual gas safety check within 28 days of the check being completed or if you're a new tenant before you move in.
