Perucchetti Studio offers traditional Marmorino Venetian stucco of the finest quality producing unique and unsurpassed polished plaster finishes in numerous textures and colours. We have updated the process of application to meet the demands of modern day designs, but have maintained our recipe portfolio archived from ancient times to emulate exquisite and delicate but durable finishes to suit all types of projects. The Marmorino polished plaster is renowned for its versatility and durability and can be used to enrich traditional design schemes and contemporary projects.
Perucchetti Studio is renowned worldwide for the very many accomplished projects we have completed during the past 40 years for discerning clients from royal palaces, private residences, and boutiques throughout Europe, yachts/beach houses, hotels and recognised architectural and historical buildings. As trained artisans both in fresco and fine art restoration we have an in-house knowledge of pigmentation and the use of colour within a lime and gesso base material. Having spent many years experimenting with natural pigments and rare minerals we have a portfolio of colours that is unparalleled, unlike the ready mixed products used today by most polished plaster applicators with colours that are harsh and synthetic giving the impression of being unforgiving, overly bright and characterless.
The materials used at Perucchetti Plastering are of the finest quality, sourced throughout Europe and beyond. For each project we individually mix the plaster using our unique 'in house' recipe portfolio incorporating combinations of hydrated cured lime, marble dust, mature grassello, natural pigments, mica crystals, real gold/silver and other interference metallics to create finishes from opaque solid colours, translucent alabaster, antiqued patinas and stonework in limestone or travertine. The plaster may be built up to create architectural detail with one texture on top of another; for example a travertine base with a raised polished plaster stripe giving the impression of cut stone.
Perucchetti introduced Marmorino Venetian polished plaster to the United Kingdom in the 1970's. Perucchetti was the original and remains the leading company in the application of this ancient technique of applying marble dust with lime to walls and ceilings. We have developed an extensive archive of ancient recipes using the finest materials available for our customised finishes. From ancient Rome to the fourteenth century through the Byzantine period and Ottoman Empire forms of lime based plasters were created and local materials were produced and used in other countries to achieve different finishes but it was the Principality of Venice with its wealth and sophistication who developed finesse for this exquisite, organic product.
