Beckford & Hazelford School appointed White Horse Contractors to construct sand & rubber filled artificial turf pitches to be marked out for football and 5 a side and hockey, complete with fencing and floodlights. White Horse Contractors (WHC) were appointed by West Dorset District Council as the main contractor to renovate an 18 year old (sand filled) artificial turf pitch at Thomas Hardye Leisure Centre.

Our specialist trenching machines cut minimum-width drainage trenches to a laser controlled depth and grade, lay a collector drain into the clean, spoil-free trench and convey trench arisings directly into low ground-pressure transport to be removed, or used elsewhere. Finally we use our low ground-pressure backfilling units to deposit permeable fill, to ensure that no contamination to the existing turf occurs.
