Commissioning a piece of furniture shouldn't be a daunting process. Its really quite simple - we like to see it as a creative partnership between client and maker. Either email, phone or visit our Showroom to make an enquiry. One of the designer-makers will discuss your ideas and fill out a Contact Sheet. If you have seen a particular piece, in our Showroom or on the Website, that you like we will put you directly in contact with the maker. At a weekly meeting we collectively discuss all recent enquiries and allocate them to individual designer-makers.
We recently secured a parcel of Elm from Edinburgh, felled last year due to dutch elm disease. Stock in the yard was very low due to the scarcity of elm logs available, so this batch of clean and burry elm should keep the makers happy for the next few years. Boards like these are a rare sight!
Showroom reopening! Along with many shops and galleries across Scotland we are delighted to be reopening our Furniture Showroom and Wood Shop tomorrow!
Hope everyone is staying safe and well in these strange times. The showroom and timber shop are still closed unfortunately, but hopefully we will be back up and running again soon at full capacity.
A fantastic interview with Alasdair and Louise as part of Radio Scotland's Out of Doors programme this morning. Find it at 1:11:13 (or so). Really worth a listen!https:// www.bbc.co.uk/ sounds/play/ m0008wrz
