ILM Highland is an independent charity and social enterprise. In 1994 the business was originally set up to help support people into sustainable employment, hence our name ILM which originally comes from "Intermediate Labour Market". Over the last 26 years, our business and charitable offering has continued to grow. We are extremely proud to offer Home Improvement services, an Electrical Recycling service as well as our very own local and online Electrical Retail Shop based in Alness in the Scottish Highlands.
ILM Highland was originally set up in Easter Ross but now delivers work throughout the North of Scotland including the Highland Council area (Ross-shire, Sutherland, Lochaber, Caithness, Skye and Lochalsh, Inverness, Nairn and Badenoch) and Moray. Over the last 26 years ILM has continued to grow its offering throughout the Highlands. Our core charitable services provide support to the elderly and those living with a disability through our Home Improvement Services. In addition, we provide an Electrical Waste Recycling and Reuse service for the Highland area, collecting some 2,400 tonnes of waste electrical and electronic equipment annually.
Did you know, at ILM Highland we offer a range of Home Improvement services throughout Ross-shire, Sutherland and Moray? Our services include a Handyperson Service, a Care & Repair Service and we also offer a Veterans Handyperson Service. No task is too small - our Handyperson team can assist with things such as hanging shelves, moving furniture and even changing lightbulbs. Large improvement and adaptation jobs are also available through our Care & Repair Service. At ILM Highland we can also support you to access housing improvement grants to adapt and modify your home.
