We are structural repair and restoration specialists based in East Anglia providing a specialist non-destructive structural repair service for properties suffering from old age, environmental damage or poor construction techniques. An initial survey and assessment of a problem is provided from which we create a repair strategy to restore a building's structural stability and aesthetic appeal. We are approved surveyors, specifiers and installers of the Thor Helical Remedial masonry repair system and also provide a wide range of general building services using materials sympathetic to the original fabric of a building or structure.

The Resurspec company name is derived from an aggregation of restoration, renovation, survey and specification. We are specialist approved surveyors and installers of the Thor Helical Remedial structural repair system www.thorremedial.co.uk. We are based in Norwich and cover the East Anglian region or further afield should our specification and price be attractive to the prospective client. The business has been developed to provide a specialist non-destructive structural repair service for all ages of property, be they suffering from old age, environmental damage or poor construction techniques.

The photographs below show some before and after examples of concrete repairs carried out on a reinforced concrete shopping / housing development constructed in the early 1970's. Years of neglect had taken its tole on the structure allowing damp ingress creating corrosion and expansion of reinforcement ultimately leading to 'spalling' and loss of concrete cover. Not only does this provide an unsightly finish to the building but can ultimately lead to its structural failure if left unchecked. In this project the proprietary Ronacrete Ronabond HB40 product were utilised in providing an effective repair in various horizontal, vertical and overhead locations around the building.

Crack Stitching can be used in isolation or accompanied by a range of Thor Helical methodologies to restore structural stability to a building. These are single bar installations that are generally incorporated into mortar bed joints to traverse cracks and dissipate stresses within masonry over a larger surface area whilst still allowing small movements of the structure due to natural temperature variations. Crack Stitching may also be tied through masonry to reinstate failed corner details, or incorporated into slip ties to provide structural connections across movement joints.
