Sometimes it is not possible to have double glazing installed into your property and there can be several reasons for this, your building may be a listed building or you may like your existing windows but need to reduce the heat loss through them. Carefully designed secondary glazing can be almost invisible from outside of the building leaving a traditional look of the property intact. Secondary glazing is installed inside the building without disturbing the existing windows and it reduces the amount of heat lost through the old windows by placing an insulated barrier between the house and the old window, this helps to reduce both the drafts and any heat loss to make the house much warmer and at the same time reducing your heating costs and your carbon footprint.

Should you require something a bit different we specialise in the construction of bespoke Orangeries specifically designed and built to suit your property. Our bespoke orangeries are available in almost any colour in UPVC or aluminium. We also offer a comprehensive service managing the project from start to finish. From the design of your bespoke orangery through the planning, building control application and structural calculations. We'll be with you every step of the way. Orangeries can be designed to be in keeping with your existing property or a contemporary extension to something older.

Single residential, French casement, Patio sliding or Bi-folding we manufacture and supply all of these doors. Manufactured and supplied in any colour or even dual colour where the outside is a different colour to inside! Engineered timber;a fully layered system to increase product stability and factory paint finished to your chosen colour. We offer two of the best solid roof extension products on the market. Both of our industry-leading solid roof extension products will transform your home. No longer do you need to buy a completely new conservatory or orangery as our solid roof extensions are designed to sit on top of both old and new window frames and doors. Both products can retrospectively be added to old conservatories and orangeries that are no longer keeping your house insulated; however it is also possible to have our products included in the design from the outset.

Window energy ratings have been designed to simplify the specification of windows for the consumer and as with electrical goods the traffic light label system has been implemented so it is easy to see how well a product performs. All our products have been tested with comprehensive simulations that calculate how much energy is lost through the window and how much is gained from solar gain, this then gives us the overall WER rating of the window. WER's range between A and G and the minimum requirement for replacement windows is an WER rating of "C" and the best is "A".

To ensure you get the best from your windows and doors they do require a small amount of maintenance to be carried out at least once every six months, this is very simple to do and takes very little time to carry out but this will greatly increase the life span and performance of your windows. There is a comprehensive guide to cleaning and maintenance which is left with every customer on completion of the installation and it is also available in our downloads section. Some of the basic advice is listed below and should you have any issues that you cannot deal with we have two full time engineers who can carry out this maintenance for you at a reasonable cost.

For over 66 years Salisbury Glass Centre have been supplying decorative glass and a glass and glazing service to the general public and local builders. We are stockists of a variety of glass that can be cut to size and supply double glazed units to British standards. Glass and decorative glass is available to both the general public and local builders via our sales reception and small quantities are available while you wait. We offer various glass specifications and thickness; however it is advisable to check availability prior to a visit.

Our aluminium windows are tough. They are durable, efficient and designed to last for years with very little up keep or maintenance required. We can provide a wide range of colours to suit your needs and can be A - C rated for energy efficiency. Aluminium Windows can also be mounted into existing wooden frames, or directly into the window opening. Aluminium Windows usually have thinner frames that will allow the maximum amount of glass, so therefore they bring more light into a room. But thinner frames do not mean any compromise on strength.

We started in a small factory in the centre of Salisbury over 66 years ago and have grown steadily since, we have been based in our factory at Newton Road on Churchfields Industrial Estate for over 25 years and have continued to grow for all of this time. Until recently we occupied three factories totalling 40,000 square feet however due to continued expansion we have recently occupied another factory adjacent to our existing buildings increasing our foot print to over 45,000 square feet of manufacturing, storage and showroom space, this enables us to have probably the largest showroom in the area and to manufacture all of our aluminium products on site.
