Tapps Garden Centre is a family run second generation business, with a third coming along. The company moved to Baldock on the 1st of October 1986, starting with a farm shop and plant nursery, having over the years gradually grown, becoming a plant centre, then to what is now the garden centre. Development plans will see us expanding even more rapidly over the next twenty years as we look to serve North Hertfordshire's ever-expanding community. The founders of the company Graham and Susan Tapp moved to Baldock from Kent where they had various horticultural and agricultural enterprises.
So cute. Really liked it. It's rough around the edges. The cafe is what sells the place. All made on site and such amazing ladies. It's needs to have new toilets and it looks like they are working on it. It needs some work but I really like it.
After hearing an advert on the radio we popped in, there were a few nice decorations although not the amount the radio advert implied. But the staff were rude and unhelpful unless you want to buy an Xmas tree and the tea shop staff were just awful to the point one waitress totally ignored us as she walked straight past us! And the small tea shop had at least 3 tables reserved! So if you do want to go I suggest you book and don't expect any kind of service! The friendliest staff member was the dog!
Very yummy afternoon tea, great food and managed two lots of tea each, no room for the third pot offered. Staff where friendly and engaging, will be going back soon
Heres a little sunshine to brighten your day
