Enduring engineering, design integrity, resilient materials and energy efficiency are the qualities we look for in our outdoor and garden lighting. If that's what you're looking for too, you're in the right place. In the UK's climate, high quality exterior lighting isn't a luxury, it's a necessity. That's why we've curated a collection of only the world's finest tried and tested outdoor and garden lighting brands.
Our story began in 2008 when we launched engineeringwithlight.com, our online shop for high quality and beautifully engineered outdoor and garden lighting. Our business model is simple. It's to offer high quality luxury outdoor lighting with enduring appeal, from brands you can trust, all backed by attentive personal service. Another is our enthusiasm for all design styles: contemporary, traditional, classic, retro. Every exterior space makes its own demands and we try to satisfy those demands as best we can.
Garden lighting brings your outdoor spaces to life after dark. In summer it extends the amount of time you can spend outdoors. In winter it creates a drama of light and shade to be viewed and enjoyed from indoors through your windows. Here you'll find high quality outdoor lights to light trees, shrubs, statuary, ponds, water features, paths and low level planting, and even lights to mount high in trees to create 'moonlight' effects on the ground. Choose from low voltage and mains fittings in a rich range of palette of finishes and enduring materials from Hunza, LuxR, Mullan, Hudson Lighting and Norlys.
Outdoor wall spot lights are ideal for painting your outside spaces with light and shade by highlighting focal points, washing walls with light or creating pools of light at ground level. Our high quality exterior wall spot lights from Hunza, Mullan, LuxR, Norlys and Timage offer a choice of low voltage and 230 volt LED light sources in a large range of finishes: marine grade 316 stainless steel, galvanized steel, solid copper, solid brass, anodised and sandblasted aluminium, polished bronze, sandblasted and weathered bronze, polished chrome and a rich palette of powder coat colours.
In the past 12 months Peter Reid Lighting has introduced over 31 contemporary and vintage retro outdoor wall and ceiling lights by Ireland's Mullan Lighting. From England we have eight new traditional wall lanterns by A Place In The Garden (APG) and six new wonderfully small integral LED garden lights by Hudson Lighting. From New Zealand we have 8 new high quality outdoor lights by Hunza, 6 new additions to Hunza's architectural lighting range, and 10 new small but beautifully engineered additions to our range of LuxR LED lights.
It's been a big decision, but Peter Reid Lighting has stopped selling indoor lighting. Looking on the bright side (an occupational hazard when you're retailing lighting), we can now focus all our attention on the kind of outdoor and garden lighting that really brings your outside spaces to life at night.
