Orchardhill provide a full range of garden and ground maintenance services to keep your garden looking at its best. On consultation, the frequency of required visits will be advised and based on the individual needs of the site and the client and a full quote provided. Our garden and ground maintenance services are available to both private and commercial customers and we have extensive experience in this area, particularly in the commercial and apartment blocks. We undertake a variety of driveway work: block paving, concrete, gravel, decorative chippings and tarmac. The most important part of any driveway project is the preparation. We take great care to ensure that the site is adequately excavated to the formation level and that the sub base material is appropriate to the job, properly laid and compacted. We can offer various solutions such as the use of membrane, bark or decorative stone as a means of weed control. At Orchardhill we use a variety of products for patios and driveways, from large natural stone pavers to brick and small block paving, depending on client requirements. We can design and lay a wide range of patio sizes and designs and also undertake supporting brickwork (retaining walls, steps and gate posts) if required. This can be a major concern for households and businesses in Northern Ireland. As we are from a farming background we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in all types of drainage work. Improving your landscape soil and layout can often alleviate minor or moderate garden drainage problems. If your soil is compacted or has high clay content, we can till it and work organic material such as compost into it to improve drainage. We can eliminate large areas of hardscape such as patios which drain into your garden and replace them with garden beds which will absorb water.

Michael and Peter did an absolutely amazing job fully transforming our back garden last summer. They arrived at 7am every morning, and unless it was torrential rain, they just got on with it (which was a good thing considering how wet the summer was…).
Our garden was a real challenge, with lots of levelling and drainage to sort out, but they handled it all so well. Even when unexpected issues or challenges came up I had so much confidence in their ability to come up with solutions.
For the amount of work involved, we thought their pricing was really fair too. When we’re ready to do the front garden, we wouldn’t even think of asking anyone else.

Having put in place our plans for a new patio and fence Michael & Peter arrived at 7am, Monday morning to start.
And after three weeks what an amazing job, absolutely incredible how the two of them have transformed our home. along the way having some great craic with it too.
Michael & Peter never stopped, working dawn till dusk, always having time for my input and questions, as well as giving sound advice on different things we had not thought about.
Michael & Peter have been at the landscaping some 20 years and it truly shows.....so much dedication and professionalism goes in to their work.

Peter and Michael completed a complete transformation of our garden today in Bangor. They are true gentlemen and nothing was any bother to them. They took on a challenge of digging out the complete sloped garden to ground level. We changed plans part way through and between us all we agreed it was the best plan.
They patiently worked over a period of 8 weeks. December was challenging with some bad weather and freezing conditions.
The end result is more than we could ever imagine and it’s safe to say we are very pleased.
