It also includes inspection and certification of the building work and advice on selection of asuitable builder. We take the strain for you. The full service has the benefit of continuity of design. It also ensures a high level of finish. If however you require a more flexible service, for example, to engage an architect up to andincluding planning application, this can also be arranged.

Located in a corner unit on the mall at Northcott Shopping Centre this restaurant project for Burger King presented both a challenge and an opportunity. The challenge: To create an open yet secure shop front. The opportunity: To design an inviting and relaxed restaurant inspired by the caf culture of Europe. The former was achieved by. Alastair Macnab Architects were appointed by Past Times to design its new store at The Outlet, Banbridge. The project provides a sales area, storeroom, combined kitchen and staff room and an accessible toilet.

Alastair Macnab Architects were appointed to carry out a feasibility study, prepare an outline design and planning application for development of a constrained site in Andersonstown. The approved scheme provides eleven two bed apartments, one, one bed apartment, an access road, sufficient parking and hard and soft landscaping. The three storey apartment blocks are positioned to maximise the use. Located on the busy thoroughfare of the Falls Road, this project involved the development of an infill site to provide two retail units (at ground floor level) and two two-bed apartments (at first floor level).

Located in leafy south Belfast, this project transformed the rear of a Victorian residence toprovide a new, bright, kitchen/ dining area and patio overlooking the trees and shrubs of amature garden. The project also included sensitive alterations to the apartment to provide a new bathroom; anen-suite shower room to the master bedroom; an additional bedroom. Located in Ballyhackamore, Belfast, this project involved the extension and alteration of aVictorian house to provide a new open plan kitchen/ living space, a new garage/ store, a utilityroom and a ground floor toilet/ shower room.

Many of the projects we have undertaken have involved restoration and conservation work. Some examples of this are replacement of rotten timber floors and roofs, re-pointing of brickwork, restoration of sliding sash windows, stone staircases and plasterwork. Restoration and Conservation work needs to be correctly specified and carefully executed. We have designed many commercial interiors including restaurants, offices and shops. We have also designed a number of domestic interiors including contemporary kitchen/ dining/ living spaces and bathrooms.

Family life has changed dramatically over the last fifty years or so. Most families are now dual wage, whereas in the past, the man brought home the bacon, which the wife dutifully cooked.
