Railway Electrical Services Limited (RES) was incorporated on the 13th December 2000, by Simon Winson the current Managing Director to service the railway industry. The company has grown in strength year on year supplying a well-established client base with highly skilled competent staff and a strong audited supply chain. Through our knowledge, experience, innovation and versatility RES have become a reliable partner and leading supplier in our chosen market sector. We have become a leading supplier in our chosen Market Sector thanks to our focus on Customer Service, Integrity, Honesty, our Dedicated employees and wide ranging Supply Chain with an overriding drive to get all contracts 'Right First Time'.

RES offer a truly comprehensive package of Lighting Services which includes CRE duties, design, installation, connection, commissioning and maintenance across the full range of railway environments. Completing lighting solutions for all public and non-public areas, including specialist areas such as tunnels and control centres. We have the ability to operate in areas of retail, commercial and outdoor as well as containing the necessary skill and specialised knowledge to work in the rail environment.

Railway Electrical Services in house design team provide E&P design and consultancy services across the Rail Infrastructure. Our team specialise in LV Power and have successfully delivered projects effectively and efficiently. The design department structure consists of Design Managers, Design Engineers and Contractors Responsible Engineers who have a wealth of experience within their disciplines. The core of the design team is located at the head office in Ilkeston (Derbyshire) with Engineers also located at our offices in Rutherglen (Scotland) and York.

RES are dedicated to helping you comply with current Health and Safety Legislation. Our capability extends to all types of electrical appliances and installations, where we have a proven track record in delivering a professional, high quality and cost effective service. Our service ensures compliance with BS7671 quality and regulatory obligations, including acceptance tests providing complete traceable documentation. Our experts can provide independent audits of any electrical installation with full product testing and PAT testing in accordance with BS 7671 and all environmental safety, electrical safety, mechanical safety, functional safety and security issues.
