Approved Document F provides guidance on meeting building regulations that specifically apply to ventilation. It states that adequate ventilation needs to be provided to prevent excess condensation buildup which could damage the structure of the property. It also ensures then, that air properly flows through the property maintaining good levels of indoor air quality. When building a new property it is important to comply with requirements in building regulations for installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and provision of information when installing fixed ventilations systems in your new and existing property.

With over 60 local branches across the country, you're never far from one of our ventilation specialists who can offer expert advice regarding your damp and mould problems and ensure that the correct ventilation product for your property is installed. Ventilation is usually the first thing to go into a new property and the last thing to come out if it is installed incorrectly, this is also partly true with renovation projects. Although the install doesn't usually require extensive ducting to go behind internal walls there is still a level of detail involved with the install to ensure adequate ventilation within the home, especially if there is an underlying damp problem or mould has started to take hold of the property.

The modern home has become increasingly energy conscious. In order to save energy we have blocked chimneys, insulated, draught proofed, double glazed and progressively sealed our homes from an essential supply of fresh air. This results in our homes feeling 'stuffy' lack of ventilation can create condensation leading to damp and mould and overall poor indoor air quality. The usual go-to suggestion is to invest in a dehumidifier as they are cheap and easy to pick up. However, a dehumidifier may not always be the best solution they raise your energy bills, require regular cleaning and exude heat from the back which in the summer can create an overbearing heat.
I had a loft vent put in and a bathroom vent a few years ago now. My bathroom is downstaires so a great flow of air through the house, and never a problem with mold or mildew since. Worth every penny and also a bonus for selling on an older house one day :
Fitted about 6 weeks ago. Fusty smell gone out of bedrooms and fan working great in the bathroom. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. A mix up at first with payment but that was sorted quickly when i drew it to their attention. Very pleased.
I had one of these units fitted a couple of months ago and I am blown away by how good it is. The service was exceptional too. Very knowledgeable rep and excellent fitter. Would 100% recommend.
