Covering the counties of Cheshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Manchester we are the areas premier double glazing installer of uPVC, timber and aluminum doors, windows, conservatories, orangeries and garden rooms. All of our ongoing installations, surveys and service calls are continuing as normal, operating under the social distancing guidelines set out for working safely within customers' homes. The wellbeing and protection of our staff, customers and suppliers is of the utmost priority.

Orangeries & Conservatories - In an uncertain world it is reassuring to know that there is a company that has built an enviable reputation for Quality, Expertise, Service and Trust. Our structures can be designed to encompass many uses from special occasions, parties, kitchen extension, dining room, children's playroom, study & media hub, or just a light airy space of quiet contemplation linking the garden to a living space. For over 30 years we have been the preferred choice of thousands of customers, who come back time and time again serving several generations of the same family.

Hardwood Doors - We can design and source a wide range of door designs in various hardwoods. Each product is then factory finished in your chosen colour. And to round all this off all of our doors are fitted with the latest high security locks and features to keep you safe and secure. We have some examples of hardwood doors in our portfolio but our doors are best viewed up close in our showroom for you to fully appreciate their qualities. Featured below is just a small selection of popular colours within a greater range abailable from Teknos, one of Europe's leading suppliers of joinery coatings and a major producer of industrial, powder and architectural paints.

All our Hardwood Windows are made in our state of the art production facility using only the finest of materials sourced from sustainable plantations. All hardwood products are factory finished in colours or stains of your choice and glazed with 24mm, low e., argon filled double glazed units which are beaded in with a dry glazing system. We install many more windows than we could possibly feature on this website but here is a small selection of the coloured uPVC windows recently installed by Strata.

Our aluminium doors are used both in the commercial sector for entrance doors to shops, schools and many public buildings, as well as increasingly in domestic properties due to the advantages of aluminium as a material. From smooth sliding bi-folding aluminium doors and designer front doors to secure shop entrances, the versatility of these products is exceptional. For a number of time now, uPVC was the standard choice for both windows and doors. Despite the long-standing pattern of uPVC use for doors, in recent times, aluminium has emerged as the newest preference with many customers.

Secondary glazing tends to be a retro fit product used when you either need to keep your existing windows or you need to improve the soundproofing and heat loss of a window. Listed buildings can often have a preservation order on the existing windows and will not allow them to be replaced by new double glazing. In these circumstances sliding secondary glazing offers greater draught proofing, heat retention and sound proofing. Science actually tells us that the optimum gap between two panes of glass is 4(100mm) - a lot more than you might get in a typical double glazed unit, so on this point alone secondary glazing can be a great investment.

Whether for internal or external use our sliding patios offer large expanses of glass with smooth operation while taking up no floor space either side, if this is an important consideration. More information and a portfolio of examples of our range of Sliding Patio Doors will be available online soon. For more information please call Strata Windows or pop in to our showroom to see our full range of products.

The strength and sharp lines of aluminium windows are perfect for modern elegant structures. Aluminium can be powder coated to any available colour. This allows the customer to match their windows to other building features. Aluminium windows are particularly good where there are high levels of air pollutants as in salt water spray near the coast or exhaust emissions in the towns and cities. For a long time now, uPVC was the standard choice for both windows and doors. For years, white uPVC windows have been popular choice in the UK and more recently, coloured uPVC windows in a range of shades have appeared.

There is a new buzz word in within the industry "Bifold Doors", but they have actually been around for many years, albeit in a far more crude format. For many years we have had industrial folding and sliding doors, but in recent years a far more refined system has come in from Europe and Australia. Their climate lends itself to warm, dry summers and the desire to open up large expanses of doors to the outside. As we start to appreciate the outdoor life style and spend much of our leisure time and our summers in the garden we are looking to bring the outside in, which in turn is driving the growth of this product.

All Strata's customers are asked to complete a self-reference installation report when their installation is complete. On average our overall service levels remain at very good or excellent, but the one area that consistently gets top marks is the installation itself. Our installers are time served joiners who pride themselves on providing a first class finish. Many of our customers request that the same team return and install subsequent windows and doors ordered. We realise that the final installation of our products has as much to importance to you, our customers, as the quality of the of the products themselves.

Of course, with any made to measure product the job of the surveyor is vital to ensure a perfect fit. Our experienced surveyors have considerable expertise and make sure you project is accurately measured up. His job is to take all the necessary site measurements and to check for any potential installation problems. He will advise you of any preparation work you may need to do before our installers arrive. Hewill normally visit, by prior arrangement, 1 week to 10 days after your order is placed.

Perhaps the first question many exploring the idea of new windows might ask themselves is "Which type of window should I choose?" Coloured uPVC windows and coloured uPVC doors have long been a popular choice as well as white uPVC products, but the reality is that nothing we buy comes without the need for some maintenance. As technology improves the need for maintenance and amount of maintenance required is reducing. Modern paints and techniques are extending the life of products well beyond 25 years, so what about the other options?

The specification of our standard white uPVC windows includes internal bead glazing, shoot bolt/deadbolt locking, 28mm double glazed low e glazed units filled with Argon gas. We also include keyed locking handles and fire egress hinges where required. The specification of our coloured and foiled uPVC windows includes internal bead glazing, shoot bolt/deadbolt locking, 28mm double glazed low e glazed units filled with Argon gas. The strength and sharp lines of aluminium make it a perfect material for modern elegant structures and it is predominantly used in the commercial sector.

Available in a variety of materials and multiple colour options our French door sets offer strength, reliability, security and flexibility of design. With a choice of ironmongery available and multiple glass combinations we really do have the widest choice available in the market today. A French Door is a most popular choice for letting light into your home and for gaining access into your garden or decking area. Unfortunately they can be used by unscrupulous burglars to gain entry and exit from your property.

A porch on the front or rear of your property will generate an air lock that separates your lovely warm home from the ravages of the English climate outside. But a porch can be so much more, it can bring shape and character to a building as well as a home for plants, coats and shoes. Available in White uPVC, coloured uPVC, Hardwood and Aluminium, we have all the materials and tradesmen available to turn your dreams into reality. With our latest computer software we can show you in 3D just what your chosen design would look like on your home.

Energy Efficient Windows - Over recent years you may have heard that the British government has signed up to several international treaties to reduce our green house emissions. To do this our houses need to be more energy efficient and to assist with this the building regulations have been modified to ensure that new products and building methods ensure less heat loss. Many older properties are being improved with loft and cavity insulation. As many houses are having their windows and doors changed.

Fantastic from start to finish, love our new windows and doors. Highly recommend.

A huge thank you to Strata and in particular Lorraine who arranged an emergency call, out when my mother rang unable to close my French windows and to John who was extremely kind and fixed the problem for us - amazing service John. Even more reason for our family to recommend your company. Thank you
