Established in 2010 2020SolarPV focusses exclusively on solar systems, with hundreds of installations around the West Midlands. In 2016 we became one of a select number of installers to receive accreditation by The Carbon Trust. In May of 2017 we were further endorsed by The Carbon Trust as having an: 'attention to detail, combined with highly competitive pricing and understanding of the client's energy requirement putting 2020SolarPV in a strong position. We achieve our strength through firstly listening to our clients and then applying our in-depth knowledge and attention to detail to provide our clients better system designs.
Both Peter and Vince have been involved in renewable energy systems since 2009, initially with Air and Ground Source Heat Pump installations for new and retrofit build projects. The demand for Solar PV has now grown rapidly since the Government launch of the financial incentives which have given the much needed impetus and awareness. Both technologies individually provided separate benefits but also have a complimentary benefit when installed together. Having seen the explosion of interest in renewables, driven by spiralling oil prices coupled with Government policy aiming to reduce C0 emissions, Peter and Vince spent over 2 years researching the best solutions, talking with leading manufacturers from all over the world to a myriad of specialists and experts in the field.
There are dozens of manufacturers of Solar Panels throughout the world, mostly Chinese (Find out more here) but there UK and European ones as well, so a huge choice. If you look on the internet you may well find a product or model that is not available in the UK. To answer this question there are many considerations therefore so which is best depends on your preferences and requirements. Ladies tend to prefer Black panels, whereas men tend to want them to be as efficient as possible and less concerned about the aesthetics.
Despite the fall in the tariff payments for domestic systems the impact on larger commercial solar systems has been far less. When viewed alongside rising energy costs, the falling price of solar panels and newly available grants; then solar should be a serious consideration for any organisation wishing to better manage its long-term energy costs. Solar PV is the perfect way to reduce your energy bills, cut CO2 emissions, and ensure that at least part of your electricity requirements will be met whatever is happening to the grid.
Solar panels produce Direct Current (DC) every property connected to the Grid uses Alternating Current (AC) the inverter principally inverts DC power to AC. There are others things that they do as well, but this is the simple "got to have it" explanation. The low cost PV system solution uses a String Inverter, with a string of panels (approximately 5 to 10 in a string). The size and orientation of the panels in a string will be determined by the Inverters specification. You may pickup in the SolarEdge HD Wave video a reference to it operating @ 155% (Michael Rush says "up to 155%, thats crazy" (1 minutes in)), so buying big is not best, and in some circumstances can be counter-productive from a Distribution Network Operators perspective.
During a hiatus period when many solar PV companies have ceased trading, our continued success comes from checking how our instillations are working, particularly in commercial sites as well as domestic ones. Discussing issues with manufacturers, in many cases via direct links to them, then cross -checking, not accepting the ‘easy answer'. So for you, the customer, that means that by combining our in-depth knowledge and attention to detail you get higher yields from more electricity generation and so higher financial gains over the lifetime of the system.
Your solar PV system will generate electricity during the day that you can use in your home real time. Without the means of storing any surplus electricity that you don't use it is exported to the grid. During times when your solar panels are no longer generating electricity, or generating insufficient for your needs, you will need to pull more electricity from the grid, which you buy from your electricity supplier. Battery storage systems overcome this problem by storing the spare electricity you generate (that would have been otherwise fed back to the grid) allowing you to 'time shift' your self-generated electricity to a time of day that meets your demand when the solar might otherwise not be generating.
We have a track record of installing and managing large and potentially complex installations be they ground or roof based. We cover all areas that arise with commercial installations. Its important to understand your objectives for considering solar and for us to discuss your current energy consumption profile. It is also important to establish that any project has the backing of the board or company owners. Our detailed onsite visit will examine all aspects of installing solar at your site. This will include taking detailed laser measures, examining your current electrical infrastructure and inspecting the roof construction type.
Our success and strength, in a period when many solar PV companies have disappeared, derives from listening to our clients and then applying our in-depth knowledge and attention to detail to provide them with better system designs. This will yield more electricity generation and therefore higher financial gains over the lifetime of the system. You can prove this to yourself by asking us to provide you with a no obligation detailed proposal - "attention to detail, combined with highly competitive pricing and understanding of the client's energy requirement putting 2020SolarPV in a strong position" - The Carbon Trust, 2017.
Electricity prices are rising fast and it seems likely that they will continue to do so, perhaps at an even faster pace. The situation is made more serious because oil supplies are threatened by instability in the Middle East - no one knows how long the current slump in oil prices will last - and our electricity supplies are threatened by indecisive government energy policy. So we should all be looking for ways to secure our electricity supplies and fix our electricity prices. Solar PV is the perfect way to reduce your energy bills, cut CO2 emissions, and ensure that at least part of your electricity requirements will be met whatever is happening to the grid.
