Our roots go back four decades and while we look to our past as a point of reference, we are very much focussed on the present and the future. Our core expertise is in roofing, building works, metal fabrication and fencing, where we employ best-in-class, specialist tradespeople, whose skills are honed via in house and external personal development programmes and traditional peer-to-peer mentoring.

Working in partnership with our supply chain we are able to offer a range of Solar PV systems to both flat and pitched roofs. Working in partnership with Your Homes Newcastle we delivered a 1.5 million-pound contract to replace the asbestos cement roof covering with a new twin-skin sheeting system, dramatically upgrading the thermal efficiency of the building. We also installed a 250 KWp Solar Photo-Voltaic array which will offset the energy output of the factory significantly reducing energy bills.

We offer a full range of fencing solutions from high security perimeter fencing to simplistic bridle-path boundaries, blending gates to suit any fence design and ensuring comparable or enhanced security at the access or egress point. Additional security measures can also be added to upgrade existing perimeter fences from casual intruder deterrent to higher security access prevention. Timber fencing can be supplied in a range of options, including closed or open-boarded, military pale, lapped panels, post and rail and bird mouth to name but a few.

Products are specifically designed to protect key infrastructure locations within the utility sector. The security threat is constantly evolving, therefore, designs need to be innovative to stay ahead and limit exposure and liability. Whether it is a bespoke fabrication product or a volume production line manufacture, we have the fabrication knowledge and skills to provide innovative solutions for all scenarios.

Both Epsilon and Apeiron are the only upgradable security door sets. A truly modular solution to escalating security threats that also reduces long term investment. Deploy at the lowest practical security level safe in the knowledge that your investment will NOT be wasted even if the threats change, saving anything up to 50% at outset. Virtually all the materials involved in the manufacture and the installation procedures and processes are recyclable following upgrade or at the end of the serviceable life span making the Epsilon and Apeiron doors genuinely sustainable products.

Hodgson Sayers undertakes construction work ranging from groundworks and bricklaying to joinery and internal refurbishment. Working on new build, reactive repairs or planned maintenance the ethos is to deliver a first class job right, first time. The building industry over the years has had a poor reputation for cost and time overruns which has never been more evident than on publically funded projects, so much so that successive governments have commissioned reports that have concluded that the industry needs to change.

Roofing has always been one of our core disciplines. As members of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) we see ourselves as specialists across a wide variety of roofing crafts from pitched roofing to flat roofing, using traditional materials to modern metals and PVC membranes. Our sustainable business approach ensures years of development and learning are passed onto the next generation of tradesmen via our apprenticeship scheme which is continually replenished as part of our on-going commitment to improvement, education and advancement.
