Insulated Roller Shutter Doors from MDS Industries are designed and manufactured in house by our own engineers. Our insulated roller shutters are manufactured in accordance with BS/EN 13241 and BS/EN 10077-1. Curtain specification: The material is of pre-galvanized construction and is designed to provide a hollow section panel with CFC & HCFC free thermal infill. Each panel section is 100mm deep with twin-ribbed face for rigidity. The option is available to add vision panels. Sound Reduction / Thermal Insulation: The roller shutter has a weighted sound reduction value of 18dB (BS 5821 Part 3: 1984) and an insulation value of 4.5 W/m.

Our Steel Security Door Range includes our best selling standard security door available in single, double and half leaf combinations and suitable for most externally opening applications. We also manufacture bespoke steel doors built to satisfy 240 minute fire ratings, gas leakage and weather tightness, thermal or acoustic insulation, enhanced security levels or a combination of these. Standards: Depending upon the requirement we manufacture to BS1245:2012 (Pedestrian doorsets and door frames made from steel sheet); BS476-22:1987 (Fire tests on buildings and materials, etc); EN12426:2000 (Industrial commercial and garage doors and gates.

Insulation Values: Some companies may state values as low as 0.4 or 0.5W(m)K. This would be the transfer value across the panel and is irrelevant in determining the correct 'U' value for the entire door. We use 40mm or 42mm thick PUR/PIR foam filled panels that, when fitted by our own engineers, should achieve a 'U' value of 1.1 W(m)K for the whole door as in BS/EN12428-2000. Panel material is CFC-free. Operation: Manual operation is by means of a continuous galvanised haul chain, through double reduction gearing or by means of push-up & pull-down.

The MDS Industries Industrial Roller Shutter Door is designed, manufactured, installed and serviced by our own teams of engineers in operating conditions as diverse and tough as St Helena in the South Atlantic to Kandahar in Afghanistan. Curtain: The curtain material is generally constructed from individual interlocking pre-galvanized steel lath (generally 75mm concave) incorporating either a plastic endlock or a zinc alloy die cast endlock riveted in position. The curtain can be supplied with solid, perforated or punched "brick bond" lath.
