MMI Engineering offers technical consulting services to help commercial clients interpret and implement Counter-Terrorist Measures (CTM) when required by security services. Details of protective design technology are guarded closely and design considerations are not trivial. The perceived implications of incorporating CTM are daunting and considerable skill is required to manage them during the design process. If a privately-owned building is perceived to be a potential target for terrorists or other aggressors and the consequences of an attack would incur significant financial loss, the building owner may wish to protect the building to some degree.
MMI Engineering provides specialist analysis expertise in the design and optimisation of wastewater treatment plants using bespoke Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)methods. MMI Engineering provides specialised structural engineering and design services to clients worldwide. Much of the firm's design expertise focuses on structural systems exposed to high demand loading conditions, such as earthquakes, extreme winds, hurricanes, fire, and blast. We specialise in the design of strengthening schemes and retrofits for industrial facilities, buildings, refinery structures, offshore platforms and water and petrochemical storage tanks. MMI's licensed or chartered civil and structural engineers routinely contribute to the development of code and criteria documents, and serve on various code-forming committees, such as the International Standards Organization, American Society of Civil Engineers, American Petroleum Institute, American Concrete Institute, and the British Standards Institute.
MMI engineering has the expertise to design ventilation systems to reduce the risk of contamination from harmful airborne substances and to ensure safe operational procedures and equipment are implemented. We assist our clients in designing ventilation ducting and assessing system control of emergency ventilation equipment. Our use of network modelling tools enables us to determine optimum pipe sizes and layouts to minimise pressure losses and ensure adequate ventilation flow under normal HVAC requirements.
MMI is committed to drivingthe PFP agenda, identifying industry needs and developing new data and approaches, and then applying them to solve the many problems and requirements that the area of PFP demands, across the full PFP life cycle. The practice operates globally through MMI's network of regional offices. Drawing experienced personnel from materials, technology, guidance and specification development backgrounds, combined with "hands-on" application experience, tointegrate with MMI's technical safety, hazards modelling and structural engineering teams to provide a complete fire hazards management solution.
MMI's resilience team integrates input from our technical experts to offer a holistic approach to resilience that is in alignment with BS 65000 Organizational Resilience standard. We support our clients to create a comprehensive understanding of the resilience of their organization or asset. We follow the process laid out in our "Roadmap to Resilience". We start by understanding the value that your organization delivers through a series of workshops and stakeholders interviews. This allows objectives to be agreed and set around resilience.
