In the early 1980s, our managing director Laurence Bird, was manufacturing and fitting window grilles and roller shutters for a company in Romford, Essex. After gaining valuable experience he decided to go it alone and then LB Securities came to life! Working out of a small workshop in Gerpins Lane, Upminster, LB Securities manufactured and installed burglar bars and roller shutters to commercial and residential properties around the local area. Continued success meant that in late 1983 we became a limited company.

Our solid steel roller shutter, the LBS Induguard 75 is designed to provide excellent, value engineered protection to warehouses, loading bays, storerooms, factories, and other large openings that require high usage. With heavy duty steel 18swg or 20swg curtains providing wind class 5 resistance, these shutters can be powder coated to a wide range of colours. Usually operated on a 415 3-phase motor, either flange mounted or via our direct drive system. We also offer a cheaper alternative via a geared hand-chain system.

The LBS Folding Doors range includes Bi-Folding Insulated Doors, Straight and Curved Folding Grilles and also Collapsible Lattice Gates, commonly used as premise protection in industrial warehouses, shop fronts and residential. LBS Folding Doors and Grilles are perfect for when high levels of use and insulation are required like ambulance depots and fire stations.

Busy warehouses and loading bays often sacrifice their thermal insulation to accommodate the demand for high usage. With the LBS Insuguard, that isn't a problem. LBS insulated steel roller shutters offer a U Value of approx. 3.3w/mk over the complete curtain, this double skinned Insulated shutter is the perfect answer to openings where insulated sectional doors aren't feasible. The 95mm double skinned shutter lath can be powder coated to a wide range of BS / RAL colours and can also have vision windows with polycarbonate inserts in.
