Pipes are connected to a centrally located manifold and individual rooms can be temperature controlled as required via their own thermostat. Liquid Screed should only be laid on a suitably well prepared substrate. The screed can eithger be laid bonded or over a seperating polythene layer (usually a 500 guage.) The separation layer can be either a thermal or acoustic insulation. Edge strips are recommended around the perimeters, hard standing or pipes and joints placed where appropriate. Screed height is established by laser level from a datum and tripods across the floor. Preparation is the key to a successful installation, Easyflow can supply and fit the materials required to prepare your floor for a liquid screed.

I have heard that underfloor heating takes a long time to heat up and cool down, is this true? A. A good system with the correct intelligent controls will allow you to pre-programme heat up times to switch on beforehand, so that the property is at the required temperature. Intelligent controls use past history, to build a pattern of your heating requirements, this also applies to cooling down periods. A. Yes this is possible and will ensure the property runs effectively and is environmentally efficient.
