Welcome to Period Oak Antiques, probably one of the premier dealers in Antique early oak furniture and other early oak antiques and works of Art in England, UK. We (Jack and Jackie Simonini) are a husband and wife partnership specialising in early oak and country furniture, medieval sculpture and works of art for over 30 years. From our antiques showroom in Westmorland in the Lake District (Cumbria) we literally scour the entire globe for rare and unusual pieces. Our collection of Oak antiques often includes 15th century, 16th century and 17th century furniture, medieval sculpture, four poster beds, refectory tables, coffers, dressers and wainscot chairs.
As Jack and Jackie Simonini we are a husband and wife partnership and have specialised in early English oak and country furniture from the medieval period to the 17th century for over 30 years. Our showrooms are set within the stunning Lake District National park in the Lowther valley in the ancient county of Westmoreland, near to the village famous for the film Withnail and I. Whilst visiting us for antiques in Cumbria and maybe seeing other places for antiques in the Lake District why not include a visit to close by Lowther Castle (seat of the Earls of Lonsdale since the middle ages).
Antique chairs usually portray the designs and key characteristics of different styles or periods. Our collection of antique oak chairs usually include antique dining chairs, antique oak armchairs, oak settles, dining table chairs and much more. Apart from chairs we also try to stock a good collection of some rare oak joint stools from different periods. Occasionally we are lucky enough to stock early 17th century carved oak wainscot armchairs adorning beautiful designs with flower motifs in the centre and other ornate designs.
Period Oak Antiques has a huge collection of antique oak tables in the showrooms. We have on display antique tables such as the centre tables, side tables, altar tables, oak refectory tables, gateleg tables, oak trestle table, antique cricket table, medieval hutch table, antique tripod table, antique walnut table etc. There are also tables that represent different eras such as the William and Mary tables, Charles II oak table etc. These tables portray beautiful craftsmanship, carvings and patterns.
