Jack Brunsdon was a craftsman, he opened his first workshop back in the 1940s in Oxford, producing everything from staircases to furniture and cabinets. Located in the grounds of the beautiful Blenheim Palace, at the Sawmills, our flagship showroom is a wonderful place to visit, as it used to be the original store building for the mill next door, it has beautiful high ceilings showcasing original beams and architecture. When you come to visit us here at our Blenheim Showroom you can view our range of bespoke hand crafted products on display.

Jacks' passion for wood craftsmanship continues today in our product and our factory. Our love for wood and knowledge of how it behaves helps us handcraft beautiful products that not only enhance your home, they also stand the test of time. We only use wood from the heart of the timber and only source our wood from ethically sustained forestry. By using millimetre accurate machinery in our factory, we construct an engineered timber that is 60% stronger than a solid piece of wood. This prevents your door and window from twisting, warping or swelling and makes it longer lasting.

We have combined the traditional feel with modern technology to make sure the window both looks in keeping with your property while being thermally efficient. A Traditional Sash window operates by moving weights, in a pulley system, either by a chain or cord. This window is more suited for period properties. But in our range, we also have a Slimmer Traditional Sash that can be fitted into newer properties that may not have the thick walls to accommodate the depth of a traditional sash window. A Spring Sash window is operated by a hidden spring inside a pocket in the window.

Our windows are designed to be strong, durable, low maintenance with the highest level of finish. We want your property to benefit from as much light as possible, so we maximise the glass by building strong but narrow frames. It is important that you stay warm and comfortable in your beautiful home. All our double glazing is filled with argon to make your new windows more thermally efficient. If you are looking for a French Door with very fine detailing, you can choose our own Cottage Window as the framework of your French door.

This door was originally used in old farmhouses. The Stable Door cleverly combined a door with a window. This allowed for plenty of light and ventilation into the small farmhouse cottages, keeping farm animals out and small children in. Today this door remains very popular, especially for rural dwellings allowing the country air and sounds from the outside in while keeping the lower part of the door secure.
