Very popular types of water features, which can be added to a garden pond or run independently with the use of hidden underground reservoirs. Streams are generally constructed using a continuous length of pond liner (Epalyn being the best choice if heavy rocks are to be placed on the liner). Waterfalls can be constructed using the same method but preformed waterfall sections of either stone, glassfibre or plastic can also with time look realistic and are much quicker to install. Here at Wayside we have a very popular range of reconstituted stone waterfalls commissioned exclusively for ourselves, which include interlocking sections of curves, straights and headers to create a very individual look.

At Wayside, we know the pump is the heart of every pond. It's the lifeline for the fish and it provides the beautiful movement of water which makes so many of us build a pond in the first place. The types of pumps we sell are waterfall pumps, filter pumps, feature pumps, dry run pumps, fountain pumps, irrigation pumps, dirty water pumps and drainage pumps (You can filter the results using our subcategories below). For a fish pond, we advise that the flow rate of your pump should move all of the water in the pond once an hour - so a 4000 litre pond will require a pump which moves 4000LPH.

Feature pumps are constructed as small as possible for fitting into confined spaces inside self contained water features. We carry a large selection of mini and smaller bodied pumps in stock for large and small water features and 'coffee table' fountains.

A flexible hose is becoming the most popular way of plumbing in pond filters and waterfalls. This pipe can be paid and bend to any shape and moved at any time as it's only secured with clips and nothing more permanent. We sell 6 sizes in 2 grades, all by the metre. The maximum length is 30m. In addition to the pipe itself, you can also find clips, hosetails and joiners online. Solvent weld fittings and pipework are strong, last a lifetime and are glued together with solvent cement to prevent any chase of leaks.

At Wayside we sell plenty of electrical items to enhance your pond with, all 100% safe for pond use and with at least a 1-year warranty. We sell lighting which is suitable for submerging in the pond and garden lighting to go around the pond. We have everything you need to illuminate the pond itself to give you a view of your fish at night, lighting for a fountain and lighting to illuminate watercourses and waterfalls. All with long cables and outdoor rated transformers. We offer some lighting with remote controls, some on senors and some which are just simply on and off.
