Most people take boilers, cookers, fires and any other gas appliances they have for granted assuming they are working properly, efficiently and most of all safely. It is recommended that your appliances are serviced regularly or in accordance with your manufacturer's guidelines but at least checked annually to establish they are operating safely. However Landlords do have a requirement and must be able to provide their tenants with an up-to-date Gas Safety record. By law, landlords must have all gas appliances checked annually by a Gas Safe registered Engineer.
