United Storage Systems is a company with history, offering a completely bespoke service to your business. For over forty years we have been a market leader in Mezzanine Floor design, Mezzanine Floor manufacture & Mezzanine Floor installation. We also supply all types of Racking including, Pallet Racking, Warehouse Racking, Longspan Racking & Industrial Racking Systems. In addition, we also manufacture Staircases, Balustrade, Commercial Shelving, Bespoke Fabrications & Structural Steelwork. We also design and install storage solutions for many of today's leading retailers and national chains.

Founded in 1977, S & L United Storage Systems has developed from an industrial racking and shelving supplier and installer to a major designer, manufacturer and supplier of mezzanine floors, racking and specialist fabrications, servicing national companies with a wide range of products and services. We have a purpose-built technical department equipped with the latest CAD technology with qualified designers, structural engineers and contract managers with a wealth of experience in overseeing large and small projects.

From pallet racking and shelving to mezzanine floors and bespoke staircases, United Storage have been creating storage solutions for over 40 years. As one of the few companies in the UK that manufacture mezzanine floors and staircases and build bespoke structural steel solutions, we work hard to understand and adapt to our customer's needs. Our clients range from small businesses to multi-national/high street retailers, and we are accustomed to dealing with project managers, architects, site managers, quantity surveyors and purchasing managers.

We were engaged by our client to construct and install self-storage units and associated features including floor decking, partitioning and self-storage unit door latches for their new self-storage facility. Shurgard approached USS with an enquiry for the construction of self-storage units at their new facility in Croydon. Each stage of the project was planned meticulously from the beginning. We were sent the architect's drawings from which we prepared our own drawings for the design and manufacture of the self-storage unit components.

This project involved many contractors working separately while co-ordinating activities to fulfil the scope of work for the additional workshops. The smooth functioning of this project could not have been achieved without the attention to detail and dedication of each and every member of the USS team. At every juncture, we were confident that we would meet the deadlines and delivery standards required and that a successful completion was always USS's number one priority.
