The Burgess in house design team lead by Peter Roth has a combined experience of over 60 years designing the best hospitality furniture for the most prestigious venues around the world. Working very closely with our customers, the focus is always on designing not only great looking products but ensuring the latest innovations and trends are incorporated into every product we make. Our designs are "never final" they evolve and because we have our own factory, we are able to work with clients to customise many of our products to meet their specific design needs, giving them a truly unique experience.

Quality is in every single product that comes out of our Burgess factory. The fact that most of our products rate at much higher rates than anybody else in the UK for its quality and standards speak for itself. Facts: 80% of our chairs have passed level 2 or higher over the past 5 years and 100% of our tables tested have passed a level 2 or higher over the last 9 years. Our furniture is made in Britain in our Burgess factory since the beginning and although we have modernised our equipment some steps our furniture building process are still manual because it guarantees the best quality for some parts of the job and matters to our customers.

There was never a first day as such. When I was 15 years old, I started working in the factory during the summer. I worked in assembly, the machine shop and upholstery, I also once drove a truck down to Switzerland to deliver furniture to one of our customers. I think that understanding fully the products you sell is extremely important. On the 2nd September 1977, I began working for Burgess full time as a role within export became vacant. In the 80's one of my most fondest memories was the Far East market.
