Based in Teddington, West London, we have been renovating and improving houses in London, Surrey and Middlesex since 1990. Originally started as a furniture service, we expanded into furniture making, kitchen fitting and all aspects of home improvents from erecting and knocking down partition walls, through kitchen and bathroom projects to plastering, painting and decorating. Being very selective with the people who work for us, over the couple of years we managed to build an excellent team of multi-talented builders and craftsmen (most of them from Poland) who are not only knowledgeable but also versatile.
The space under the stairs is the best natural storage and it is a shame not to use it to the full. Here is an example of such under stairs wardrobe. The doors are made with MDF and painted with the same emulsion paint as the walls. The inside of this wardrobe is built with IKEA elements. Apart from being functional, stairs and the ballustrading around them can be one of the most decorative elements in your house. Here is an example of stairs we built in oak. Gas/electric meters and other unsightly objects look much better when they are hidden away.
In this former cinema building we had to level up four different ceiling levels to one, put electric cables, install plasterboards, install spot lights and plaster it all to a smooth finish. This project was about removing a spiral staircase and closing the hole in the ceiling, so that no traces of the staircase can be seen any longer. In the room upstairs a new floor was laid. Here is an example of a wall affected by damp. After removing the cause of damp, the old render was removed, the wall was re-rendered, then re-plastered and of course re-painted.
