Cameron Fuller poles tend to be suitable for older properties where their classic look works well. We also use them a great deal for bay windows as they are very skillful at bending 19mm metal poles! Walcot House make very different and unusual poles. If you are looking for something that you are unlikely to see anywhere else then this could be of interest to you. We usually recommend Silent Gliss tracks to our customers as we have found them to be of great quality and very robust. They are experts in what they do and in our opinion make some of the best tracks around.
If you have ever shopped for new curtains or Roman blinds you know that there are lots of elements to consider - colour, pattern, heading, fabric drape, texture and so on. We can walk through all of this with you and help you to narrow your search down. We also then recommend that you either borrow one of our fabric books (we lend them out overnight) or get samples (we can arrange this for you) to check how the colours and patterns work in your own space and light.
When you are thinking about what you need at your windows one of the first things to consider is whether you want curtains, blinds or both (or something else entirely!) In our experience curtains look wonderful and can bring colour, pattern, texture and drama to a room - also keeping it warm and cosy and deadening any noise. However there are some instances when a blind is a better option. They work wonderfully in smaller windows, kitchens, less formal rooms, hard to reach windows and rooms where you don't want to go to the expense of curtains.
Plantation shutters offer really good control over light and privacy levels in a room. They also bring an amazing touch of elegance and beauty (not to mention that feeling of being on holiday!) Shutters are energy efficient, fire retardant and inherently child safe, as there are no cords. Solid wood shutters are available in a wide range of woods and can be shaped for unusual windows. They are made from premium quality kiln dried hardwood and available in three different slat widths, 48mm, 64mm and 89mm.
