We pride ourselves in offering our clients a complete package from the initial planning through to the completion stage. We offer a broad spectrum of works including self builds, extensions, renovations, alterations and garden landscaping. Within this we also supply sanitary wares, kitchen wares and double glazing. Within our photo gallery you will see examples of our work. We have been members of Federal Masters of Builders (FMB) since 2006 and have been Masterbond accredited for the same period.
My enthusiasm for the building trade is inspired by a long family history. My Great Grandfather, William Sneddon, was a furnace bricklayer at the Eglinton Ironworks in Kilwinning in 1892. My Grandfather Martin served his time as a bricklayer in 1920 and his son Martin (my Father) served his time as a bricklayer in 1954. Following on with the family tradition in 1976 I came into the building trade as a bricklayer serving my time with William McClure of Irvine. However it doesn't quite end there in further keeping with the family tradition my son, who is also called Martin, joined the trade in 1999 and served his time with me.
Martin and Son Builders offer a comprehensive service in walling, and structural brickwork and blockwork, we have a combined 50 years of experience in this discipline we can build boundary walling to garden walling in all the bonding techniques. We also offer stone works from drystane dyking to house and extension works. Martin and Son Builders have an extensive portfolio of extension work and house building as a small builder, but we offer a great cross reference of all types of extensions from contemporary design to working on listed buildings, we can also offer Architectural assistance with help in the design and taking it through the planning processes.
