Our steel window and doors are manufactured by us in the UK and meet British Standard requirements. We offer a full service from initial on site consultation, design, survey, manufacture and installation and cover the South East region (London, Sussex, Surrey and Kent).
This client wanted to encase their staircase with one of our steel screens and with a single door. In fact the original staircase was too far our of plumb or level and so the builder built a new staircase which allowed us to manufacture the steel screen to conform to the risers as tightly as possible.
Commercial steel windows, screens and doors can be specified using a number of rolled steel window profile suites. W20 and W40 are the most common systems nowadays and these can be used to manufacture a range of window/door styles. Specifications vary between jobs but we can supply single glazed steel systems as well as 28 mm double or triple glazed systems.
This may be due to financial budgets, because they are in a listed property or just because the customer is happy with their original windows. In this instance we can offer a couple of options to help increase the life of the frames. This option is a relatively lost cost solution to extending the life span of the original frames. We can 'ease' and adjust' the opening windows so that they close in a tighter position. Normally over the lifespan of the frame it will have had multiple layers of paint.
This building used to be an old derelict cinema building which the developer gained permission to change into high end luxury apartments. The client was keen to ensure that the heritage of the building was preserved and so he wanted to install steel windows as they were in keeping with what the original windows would have been. We manufactured and installed new double glazed windows and doors from our Parliament steel profiles as we could achieve a very slender aesthetic using true 'T bar' glazing bars.
We have now developed and adapted our steel door systems so that they are able to slide for internal partition applications. We have seen an increase in demand for this type of product either where space is at a premium or just for aesthetic reasons. We manufactured and installed this sliding door from our Parliament steel profiles as we could achieve a very slender aesthetic using true 'T bar' glazing bars. The doors were hot dip galvanised and then powder coated black (RAL 9005 matt) and we glazed them with 6.4 mm clear laminated safety glass.
