We are delighted to announce that both the Conservatory Restaurant in Barnstaple and the Garden Room Restaurant in Ashford are now open. We are offering a limited menu today only (hot and cold drinks, scrumptious cakes, all day breakfasts and sandwiches) and our full menu will be available from tomorrow (Thursday 3rd December). St. John's is the leading North Devon Garden Centre with a long history of providing quality service to local and regional customers for over 50 years. We have a large open plan shopping centre, plant and tree display, under cover plant area, restaurant, Jungleland and an off-site nursery where many of the plants are grown. We also have a landscaping division. The current centre displays and sells all garden related items and leisure products including sheds, furniture, barbeques, pots, clothes, homewares, gifts and seasonal items.

As a garden centre we sell all the products you need for maintaining your garden all year round. These range from plant food, pest control, compost of all types, pots and containers, tools and watering equipment. Seeds, bulbs in season, potatoes and onions and much more. You need it, we likely have it.

Garden design, ground works and plant suppliers for all types of projects both commercial and domestic. We have a dedicated landscaping department and our staff are very experienced in all aspects of landscaping, dealing with projects of all types and scale. These can vary from complete garden make-overs to estate housing landscaping, plant supply and installation, including hard and soft landscaping by our dedicated workforce. As part of St. John's Garden Centre we have many years experience in the horticultural business in North Devon and surrounding area.

Our plants, shrubs and trees for the garden change with the seasons and are a very comprehensive selection of what will grow successfully in North Devon. This experience has been gained over the many years we have run our own nursery and plant propagation centre. Our knowledgeable staff are always available for advice on all things horticultural. Whether you just need one plant to fill a border, a drift to show off their full potential or a well-positioned tree, we can help.

Our garden, patio and conservatory furniture display is very comprehensive, ranging from cane upholstered suites with coffee tables, to dining table sets for 2 or 10. Individual loungers, chairs, stools, cushions, sun parasols and bases are all on display. Furniture ranges at all prices are available and most items can be delivered direct to your door for a small cost.
