Even after more than 30 years in the home clearance business, there's still no such thing as a standard bereavement clearance. In this case, a 92 year-old woman had had outlived the rest of her immediate family and maintained the home as a shrine to modern British history. The clients had already cleared some items of value, but also sought our expertise in finding items that are more valuable than they appear. The Kenilworth house was quite large, with a good deal of furniture, endless knick knacks, and a wealth of neat old things.
A family with a recent bereavement of an elder relative required a clearance of a large detached Edwardian property in the heart of Coleshill. Our team began the Coleshill house clearance early at approximately 7.30am. We started in the garden clearing old work tools, plant pots and overgrown shrubbery including large logs that we chainsawed down in order to place them neatly in the van. After this we moved onto the lower floor of the two lounge areas. This included bubble wrapping important items that the owner wanted to keep that we moved into storage for them so they could complete a deep clean.
The family had recently suffered a bereavement of a relative and it was requested that we come to clear out the entire bungalow. The Walsh's needed this Aldridge house clearance to be done and dusted within one day. We arrived at a traditional detached dormer bungalow in Aldridge, West Midlands. A surprisingly spacious bungalow that included a large loft storage area. There was a lot of belongings stored away, mainly in various boxes, making the process much speedier than anticipated. However, there were a number of larger pieces, including a beautiful but very heavy mahogany table and a chest of drawers.
A family moving out of their house to live on a narrow-boat required help with removal of larger items that were of no use to them anymore. Some may expect a castle if visiting the Tamworth, Staffordshire region and although not that grandiose this was still a delightful Edwardian property with large bay windows and exemplary entrance both rear and front made this Tamworth property an absolute joy to clear. We started early at 9am and finished at approximately 1pm. Our initial strategy was to begin from the upstairs and work down, however, our client required some items to be moved onto their own vehicle first.
We receive a lot of calls from the Solihull area. Our reputation has spread well throughout the community and we always appreciate the kind words our clients say after the job is completed. Clearance instructions: We were instructed to clear a 1930s art deco house with 1.5 metre side entrance and large outward opening doors on the front side and smaller door on rear. The property was to be cleared in order for complete refurbishment for new tenants. All electronic equipment was to be kept at the property.
Occasionally we get the opportunity to clear a piece of history. On this occasion, a wealthy gentleman approached us with a stately home he had purchased at auction near the river Avon. The attached property contained a boat house, several out buildings (including sheds and greenhouse), a large garage and around 25 rooms. The top of the home was a cluttered loft. Every room in the house was filled with the detritus of years. Compacted dust and rotting curtains filled every room. Our client, who intended to refurbish and resell the home needed each room cleared.
The client in this case had recently been committed to full time hospice care due to progressively worsening Alzheimer's disease. Having spent her early years in the Great Depression, Mrs. Worthy maintained thrifty habits, including socking away cash for a rainy day. As her Alzheimer's worsened, she had developed a habit of hiding various sums of cash in hiding places throughout the house and the forgetting where she had hidden them. As a result, along with the usual tasks of removing unwanted household items, we were also tasked with trying to locate hidden stockpiles of cash to avoid throwing them out in this Studley house clearance.
Mr Bertrand provided clear instructions on our first meeting at his parents' home. We were to begin clearing at 8am and be finished by midday. This was no problem and as the Berkeley House Clearance team drove up the driveway with our trusty Luton van we were prepared for an intensive day or house clearing. This modern semi-detached property setback from the main road allowed for easier access due to the long driveway and open space. We began by clearing the kitchen of all cutlery, pots and pans in addition to all scrubs and cleaning equipment.
Staffordshire House Clearance Instructions: A quaint semi-detached Victorian property with both front and rear access was requested for clearance for an emergency one day Lichfield house clearance due to a quick change in events for new renters to move in the next day. Overview: We started early at approximately 8am for a midday planned finish. We removed large double drawers from upstairs, a large oak bedstead and other bedroom pieces that were carefully cleared from upstairs with precise maneuverability down the stairs.
