Green Planning Studio will only take on projects with a reasonable chance of success. Each case is individual and we will give an appraisal of the issues involved and your chances of success before commencing work. Green Planning Studio Ltd began life as Green Planning Solutions LLP established by Matthew Green in 2005. It became an limited liability partnership in 2007 when Matthew was joined by Ruth Reed PPRIBA. The practice grew steadily as a planning-led consultancy specialising in gaining planning permission in areas of development constraint such as the countryside, Green Belt and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty supported by in-house expertise on planning, architecture, surveying, historic environment, flood risk assessment, contaminated land and landscape design.
If you are thinking of building a self-build property, one of the first things you should do is appoint a specialist self-build architect. Someone with experience of one-off houses, the process from assessing your site, discussing your budget and timeframe, creating the initial designs, applying for planning permission, engaging the builders and sub-contractors to work on your self build property. Over the past twenty years, Green Planning Studio's architects have gained considerable experience in the design of self-build properties.
Green Planning Studio can offer a bespoke architectural service to suit your requirements from concept designs through to full architectural services. On this project, we provided a full range of architectural services from the initial assessment and the initial Land Survey through to completion on site.
The Association for Environment Conscious Building is a network with a common aim of promoting sustainable buildings. The Passivhaus Trust is an independent, non-profit organisation that provides leadership for the adoption of the Passivhaus standard and methodology. Passivhaus is the leading international low energy design standard. Over 65,000 buildings have been designed, built and tested to this standard wordwide. As Architects and Planning Consultants, Green Planning Studio will do as much as it can to limit the impact of buildings and reduce their energy consumption and that of the industry as a whole.
Green Planning Studio (GPS) undertakes Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), on behalf of clients with properties or proposed developments within or that border upon Flood Zones 2 & 3. We provide Flood Risk Assessments that assess the potential impacts of Climate Change over the life of the development and any adverse impacts on existing drainage in the vicinity of the site. We can also undertake any necessary Flood Management Plans (FMPs) required to alleviate any unacceptable risks identified as well as offering a bespoke service to produce cost-effective and sustainable solutions that can address any specific Planning Conditions imposed by the local authority in response to an elevated risk of a Flood Event at the site.
Any successful development project needs to be built on strong foundations. A good design, in the vast majority of cases, can only be as good as the parts on which it is based. Where accuracy is an important factor in the production of a quality design, Green Planning Studio's Land Surveyors can provide accurate geospatial information in 2D or 3D, that other forms of mapping cannot hope to achieve. We can produce a model of the terrain of a site or the accurate structure and layout of a building.
Can't thank the team at Green Planning enough, despite being turned down by many so called local panning experts and property developers with offers of joint ventures that came to nothing, these guys took on the supposed impossible task of gaining residential planning for multiple houses on land I owned outside the development boundary and in the green belt. They were confident throughout the entire planning process with planning granted at appeal to which my family and I are and always will be extremely grateful.
