Cyma Architects Ltd was formed in 2000 by the current Managing Director Mark Hall out of the desire to build an architectural practice providing high quality, sustainable building design solutions. We have specialist knowledge of historic building design and construction techniques as well as modern sustainable design solutions and provide a highly sensitive service for all Listed Buildings, buildings within Conservation areas both existing and new. Mark Hall is the founder and director of Cyma Architects, and is the principal designer, overseeing all projects from inception to completion.
At Cyma Architects our knowledge and understanding of the many designs and styles of buildings has been attained over many years of working in the architectural field. From the traditional Kentish domestic dwelling and agricultural buildings of the sixteenth century through to Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architectural designs. Our work with the restoration of listed buildings and our expert consideration of reproduction is, we believe of the utmost importance. Our aim is to preserve and restore the heritage of historic buildings through our understanding and experience of our building tradition and house design.
Cyma Architects Ltd work in accordance with the RIBA Conditions of Engagement which has been created to make it easy to specify in which areas the Architect is needed. This allows us to tailor make a design project solution for each of our clients to ensure they have the knowledge and expertise to the elements of the project they need whilst remaining focused and cost-effective. Procurement - The procurement strategy does not fundamentally alter the progression of the design or the level of detail prepared at a given stage.
We recognise as a company that in the provisions of our services we are contributing to the effects on our climate. To offset and negate our carbon footprint CYMA Architects have embarked upon a project to ensure the services provided are carbon neutral. In partnership with the Woodlands trust, Cyma architects will plant 100 trees in and around the area of the build for every accepted planning permission. In addition, on the completion of the build project Cyma Architects will plant a further 500 trees.
