Property owners are increasingly keen to reduce their energy bills but how and where within an installation is the energy being used. Saving energy is a major requirement these days especially if you are considering alternative site generation options such as an expensive PV installation, wind turbine or even CHP. There is little point in funding expensive site generation projects if measures are not taken to reduce the consumption of the existing electrical system which could be running away with the energy cost.

Conditional Surveys are an essential service which provides clients with important information regarding the condition of both their mechanical and electrical installations together with major plant items such as the electrical distribution network or expensive air handling equipment. They typically go beyond statutory inspections and consider the present and future conditions of installed plant and networks and allow for the formulation of Life Cycle Cost Projections to assist clients with future maintenance or capital cost expenditure.

Before any design work begins, we carry out, if required, a feasibility study in conjunction with the architect, quantity surveyor and client to ensure a quick decision is made as to the project's viability, not just cost but also technical difficulties that require overcoming. Projects are often subject to complex legal and technical requirements as well as costs, which the client must consider before deciding to invest in the construction process. As part of the feasibility study we will inspect the condition of the existing services and advise on whether some or all can be retained or whether it is best to remove the existing services and start from new.
