C-architecture Limited is an RIBA chartered practice specialising in the delivery of sustainable and stimulating environments. Our versatile approach to creating high-quality architecture has resulted in a portfolio that demonstrates diversity, energy and innovation. Principal architect, David Challinor, founded C-architecture in 2009 to pursue his passion for landscape-led architectural design. As a chartered architect with an MA in Landscape & Urbanism, David is able to carefully balance the architectural, landscape and urban design elements of each proposal, to deliver a holistic solution that optimises the potential of each site.
Planning permission has been granted for our proposal to convert a building of 'historical significance' into residential apartments. The building had been struggling to retain a practical use in its existing capacity, and was at risk of becoming neglected. This permission will offer the building a new lease of life and the much-needed refurbishment it requires. Our Principal Architect, David Challinor, was shortlisted in the 'Best Architect for a self-build project' category at the 2018 Build It awards for his work on 'Atrium', a stylish contemporary new-build in Orpington, Kent.
