Our current team of Partners has seen the company through many changes, but they are not simply managers. Arch Henderson was formed in 1919 to offer specialist services in the design of harbour works, coastal protection schemes and ship repair facilities. This specialism in maritime civil engineering works continues but the firm has expanded to include architectural, civil, structural, and mechanical engineering and Principal Designer services for a wide range of industrial, energy and commercial sectors.

Our structural engineering teams deliver a range of services across all sectors; designing new structures, using innovative techniques and materials, and refurbishing and restoring existing structures. The services we provide include: structural design of commercial, industrial and residential buildings; structural design certification (SER); structural surveys, reports and feasibility studies; Principal Designer services (CDM); consents and licensing.
We can provide the expertise in site and ground investigations; feasibility studies; surveying; liaison with environmental agencies; advice and design for drainage systems; flood risk assessments; and environmental management before and during construction.
